I designed this Elder Wand from pictures after watching the Harry Potter movie series again in anticipation of Halloween. It is divided into two pieces so that it will print on the Replicator 5th generation printer bed (though I am sure it will work on others as well). To assemble, simply match the two inserts and fill with a little glue to make the join permanent.
As you can see from the pictures, the dimpling in the handle seems to have been picked up well with printing at standard resolution.
Happy printing, and please let me know if you have made one.
Rafts: Yes
Supports: Yes
Resolution: Standard
Infill: 20%
Notes:
For good detail, I printed at a travel speed of 90mm/s instead of the default 150. I recommend printing completely horizontal with supports so that the print layers appear like wood grains. I used 2 shells and 10% infill, and it is a little flimsy at the tip, so I would recommend 3 shells and 20% at least. Change this to match your desired weight and feel.
