I wanted to wait to upload this model until I could find the file that contains the .pdf of the decals I created for it. I can't find the file, but if I ever do - I will upload it!
Also, I hesitated uploading because my ROBO-3D printer does not handle overlapping volumes well (overlaps print as air gaps), of which this model has many - especially in the nose portion. I simply couldn't find a way past this in the printer software. Perhaps the overlap problem is my fault, since I can't seem to find an easy way to delete the volume overlaps in the "Wings3D" program I used to create the model. Advice, anyone?
Personally, I use a resin boat plastic product called "Marine-Tex" to fill the gaps. It's incredibly useful for this and for filling gaps in other resin cast models.
I now print exclusively in ABS, since the "Plastruct Plastic Weld" glue I use works extremely well with it, and is not very good with PLA. I haven't tried any others...
I included an .stl of the completed model for show only - I recommend against trying to print this version - print the parts and build it!
Finally, I could also have included an assembly sheet, but I thinks it's pretty self-evident how it goes together. The picture shows the completed model, which I am extraordinarily happy with! I made it at 1:350 scale to go with my polar lights enterprise model. Enjoy!
