Ever wanted an action figure with so many articulation points that it made all other action figures crawl back into their cardstock container?
Well I present the open source action figure!
This model offers hours of fun to assemble with your son or daughter. Imagine the parent that could print out an action figure, you would be a kids hero!!
I made him pretty universal so he could be painted easy enough to be anyone. The head is joined so that maybe other heads could be made in the future..
The whole thing is held together with a little super glue and PLA spikes.

I have included the obj incase you wanted to mod him and I also made some breakdowns in stl format for you see how the joints are assembled.
Dont let the picture fool you he stands 18 inches tall! Which somehow allows the wife to label it a doll because of that fact. I have to quickly correct her with Âaction figure¦ uggg.... anyway.
I hope you enjoy the build.
Also I have included some of the techniques I use to create meshes in Blender and Zbrush

Revision update 1.1
Added 4 sets of hands that are in a static pose.
Print - Cut away Island and support and mount to pivot via glue.
Support is needed on the hands.
Tools youll need
1/16 Drill bit for the 1.8 Pla spikes
Drill bit for the 3mm Pla Spikes
Super Glue (I like gorilla super glue)
.1 Drill Bit for the fingers
22 gauge wire for the finger rivets
Elastic cord ---optional for the neck -- a 3mm pla spike works IMHO better -- if you make it a little longer it allows you to pivot at the neck base. (See head breakdown)
See breakdown stls for assembly instructions
A building tip-- after you add the glue and assemble grab a soldering iron and lightly tack the abs shells in spot weld fashion..... WARNING**** ABS is not good for you at all in smoke form. So please don't let the children do it... and use well ventilated area while holding breath........ (disclaimer-- holding breath might not do anything for your protection). Tip is optional!
How to work on the joints -- no file needed
