I needed a semi-realistic dragonfly model that required minimal post-processing. I couldn't find anything that fit my needs, so I drew this model up. The wingspan of the model is just under 4 inches.
The wings are actually only a single layer thick in some areas, so they are translucent if your first layer is thin enough. I imagine your bed needs to be leveled fairly accurately for this to work.
To assemble the dragonfly, you first glue the two halves of the body together. Next, you glue on the wings.
