A combat knife with built in stun capabilities. Developed by the CIA for use in special operations. The ultimate hand to hand combat weapon, combining the lethality of a knife with the knock out power of a stun gun.

While holding L1 to ready the blade, the player can tap R1 to deliver quick strokes, or hold R1 to stab. The latter is an instant kill on an enemy guard. Also, press R2 while the blade is ready to stab using the shocking side of the blade, which results in a non-lethal attack that can instantly stun guards.

Replica of the CIA stun knife used by Solid Snake in 2014. FAIR WARNING: I have yet to print this myself. I have faith in my design, but keep that in mind if you set off to make your own first.

Even though I tried to match it as closely as possible, I took a couple little liberties with the design, namely the battery hidden under the handle. There isn't really anything in-game to suggest it has a removable one, but it just seemed like a good idea at the time. Maybe I'll make a solid option when I get a moment.

I pretty much only had a couple lousy screenshots to work off of, so this is the best I could do. It's a bit shorter than I initially modeled it; being a CQC knife, I figured compactness in favor of maneuverability trumps sheer length. Still, with an overall length of 10in, I might make a shorter version when I have some time.

Notes:

I'd recommend printing the base spine-down on the platform and at as high a resolution as you can manage. Printing it flat might result in an unattractive "tiered" look along the edge, and the finer the edge the better. Even so, you might still want to finish the edge smoother with sandpaper; I'd recommend thicker walls too in that case.

It's a sturdy enough design that it probably doesn't need too high an infill, but a higher density would make it feel more real.

I've provided rivet parts for assembly, but you might be able to get away with using aluminum rods instead.
