Just in time for Star Wars Day! Many of the design modifications were done to make it closer to the model that is on display at Disney World's Launch Bay. The goal of this build was to be able to print it out, assemble it, and be done. No real post processing or painting.
Here are some of the things I did to improve upon the design
Higher polygon count where needed
Redesigned the buttons/knobs/accessories and added the clip
Added male/female pieces to make the assembly process easier
Adjusted design where needed to make it more accurate according the the pictures that I took of the Darth Vader light saber on display at Disney World's Launch Bay.
Adjusted pieces to use M3x12 cap screws to hold the black upper button holder(Black_parts_2). I picked mine up at home depot. This piece was also intended to be printed flat and suspended so that the curve on the back side is not compromised and the holes for the screws do not need supports.
