Did you ever looked for your key's like a hour?! Or maybe you late for some party cause your girlfriend/wife can't find her key's from home? So this Thing is for you!
The model made in 3 parts: The wall mount holder , the "male" key chain connector & the "female" key chain connector.
The need:
Wanted to make some useful & unique place for key's to put when I go back home. And when I started to think about it, it would be awesome if I had a key chain that i can connect to something... sooo...
The Design:
As usual for me now - Blender software & Illustrator SWG work.
Started in Illustrator to create heart, girl & boy Shapes (just faster than making it in Blender) and saved as SWG. Imported it to Blender, made come work on Mesh to Curves thing and here it is!
The Print:
Printed with ABS + finished with some cool acetone wipe. Filament was in 2 colors: gray & red (for the hearts) Tip for the print is not to make the first layer too large (first layer with parameter in Simplify 3d) for the parts to connect well.
The Assembly:
Glue the base to the wall (in my case, used silicone 2 sided tape for it), connect the heart shaped connectors to your keys (yours and your girlfriend/boyfriend/wife) & when you got home - just PLUG IN your set of keys to the heart shaped hole in the base holder. That's it!
17-5-2018: +Added some Family Models with 2 girls as well ^^
P.S. On Photos - i made the first base 2cm - and after assembly edited all versions to 1cm thick - cause it's just waste of plastic !
