Made some adjustments to the original design to make it USB charged, self powered, and remote controlled.
The Crystal Ring Bottom is slightly larger than the upper ring, I had to sand it quite a bit to fit. I created it, so I could contain the LEDs easier without having to glue them in place.
Also the Centering Ring helps hold the center crystal in place and centered, so it doesn't move around.
I didn't glue anything together, it's all pressure fitted in place.
Below are the components I used to get the ARC Reactor to run under it's own juice, and charge via USB. I've included a larger back cap to fit all the parts into, so it can be assembled in one piece.I stripped back a plain USB male end to fit into the new plug holder as pictured above. The middle wire is from the USB plug, but the red and black are dummy scrap pieces that I fit into the plug end to complete the "look" of the reactor.
LiPo Charging Board:
Micro LiPo 3.7v battery (Had to change the micro plug out to a large plug end to fit in the charging board)
RF Remote
As of right now, it runs great, and will stay lit for a while off of it's charge.
