The Boeing 747. Iconic, beautiful, revolutionary. The 747-8 is the latest and most likely final revision of the "Jumbo Jet". This is my 3D printable rendition. 60 Versions, 8 months of on and off work, and many many hours of my inner perfectionist forcing me to rework every little detail. The fully assembled model is nearly 556mm (X) 622mm (Y) 150mm (Z)

This model has some vastly improved print-ability over my previous designs, now including alignment pins (lots and lots of them), flat mating surfaces, and properly sliced sections. There are 2 versions of the aircraft. The 1st is the standard, base 747-8. No livery, no nothing. The 2nd version is the Lufthansa livery, which has the company name and logo debossed into the model.  I also included a fully assembled model for reference, but I would not recommend printing it.

My build is coming, and I will post it the instant I finish printing all the parts. I'm just waiting on a few replacement bearings for my printer.

For anyone interested, the original design is available here: https://a360.co/2Lw9krr

Notes:

Almost all parts have a flat surface area that can be placed on the bed to print on, with the only exception being the engines. They should be printed vertically, with the engine intake facing down to preserve the detail of the chevrons on the back. If you are feeling lucky and confident that your supports are good, printing them vertically with the intake up is also an option.

Another slight note. Once again, the cockpit windows are separate pieces, and I would print them at the maximum resolution your machine is capable of.
