16 Lancia IZ / IZM were sent to Spain during the Spanish Civil War and were employed by Corpo Truppe Volontarie (Volunteer Troops Corps, or CVT). These armored cars were already obsolete at the time and had a poor performance against the Russian-made BA-3/6 armored cars used by the Republic's army.
