I've tried many sound deflectors for my iPad mini, all had flaws, one of which is loosing much of the bass response and stereo separation the iPad's little speakers have.
I decided to design my own. It turns out the angle and thickness of the deflecting surface matters a lot. After 7 prototypes I share with you my final results:
Good stereo separation when used in portrait mode
Maximum amplification without loosing the bass
Small and ergonomic, you can leave it on all the time without adding much bulk
Stable design won't fall off the iPad
You can connect the lightning cable when in use
IMPORTANT NOTE: it's designed to fit over the iPad mini with the Smart Case. If you don't have the case I won't fit.
The Hugger is designed to fit the iPad mini with a smart case.
