This is my very first published design and I am quite proud of it :)

It is inspired by "Robot Bicycle Zoetrope" from KitCameo.

While his design is awesome there are two things I did not like:

  1. I don't come around Strobe lights very often, so the effect cannot be seen :)

  2. I did not want to glue anything to my bike.

Look in the "how I designed this" - section about how to connect those to your bike.

use rad1.stl and rad2.stl to simply print all of them or open singleitems.zip to print only the designs you want.

BTW. Might be a good reason to buy some reflective spray :)

Supports:

Yes

Infill:

Only very few models require (small) supports. You should use the "Touching Build" - Support Setting.

Also: Use 100% Infill. Why is shown in the description

Creating your own designs

If you want to create your own designs, the "mount" can be found here:
https://www.tinkercad.com/things/keyOKo14akE

Simply import any design you want and place the mount to the optimal position. Use the following settings:
Height: 50mm Depth: 2.4mm

How I Designed This

I hate glue :)

I really wanted a design that I can clip directly onto the bike (and also remove without hassle)

That was quite a challenge. Because the figures are quite small and there are a lot of them I also wanted to do this without any support if possible.

It took a loot try and error to finally come to a solution:
Thin PLA is quite flexible, so you can simly bend these figures in the middle, put the spoke in place and bend it back. This way it is fixed on place, does not fall off and don't even move.

I would suggest start with the bigger figures to get the touch of it as they can be bend even more.

Honestly I do not know if this works on other materials than PLA, too.

In the video I show how to bend those. Please be advised that I bend it as much as possible to display the effect. You should only bend it at as much as needed to put the spoke inside. If you bend it too much it will become quite loose and move up and down.
