Second original project!
A semi-obscure one this time: Tommy's cane from The ABCs of Beth.
Designed for use with half-inch (1/2") CPVC. Please note the C, as regular PVC will be too large for these parts. The length of the cane depends on personal preference, but it should be about 3 feet tall. Whatever length you choose, be sure to add ~75 mm to account for the pipe that will end up inside the other parts.
The parts are fairly self-explanatory:
Insert the yellow topper into the blue half.
Insert the pipe into the topper.
Insert the bottom cap into the pipe.
Acknowledge that you're a huge nerd/fan for printing this obscure of a prop.
Stay away from honey swamps.
I like to post my models for free, but if you like my work, maybe consider a tip!
Hope you enjoy!
Using the screenshot provided, I traced the outline of the blue section of the cane in photo editing software.
I converted the resulting image to an SVG, and imported it into Tinkercad.
In Tinkercad, I revolved the image around its center axis, which created a very large and polygonal file.
I then took this file into Meshmixer, converted it to a solid, sculpted out any mesh errors, and reduced the geometry by 80%, creating a consistent surface.
Everything else was just simple shapes and Boolean subtractions.
