THIS IS STILL A WIP!!!

A 6mm scale guard chimera APC. I originally tried test printing Mkhand_Industries' chimera remix and decided I wanted to separate the nacelles to add more detail and print flat. Another person attempting the same was able to do this but I decide that the geometry was terrible and not worth the time to clean up when I could just go back to the model he based his remix on and remix it myself.

The model by BiancaW had just as bad geometry, just less of it. So I cleaned it up, separated out the parts, adjusted the shape to more closely match the real chimera model, added more detail, corrected the turret scale, corrected the normals added the indexing geometry, hollowed the hull out to make it print faster, added new tracks... a lot of things. It should be noted that the model is still not fully accurate as this is just a remix of existing geometry and was not modelled from scratch by me (something I may do in the distant future if I ever get a resin printer).

This is still a work in progress. I've yet to decide what to do with the hull mounted lascanons. I left the heavy bolter off model because I think it looks better for now, but I'm also going to go back and cover all turret types which includes the heavy bolter variant which uses a HB similar to the one currently mounted on the hull that I can copy. I also intend to make a hull variant with the flamer and a spot light variant of all the turrets and nacelle variants with the track covers.

Notes:

I test print minis at 0.08mm layer height with a 0.4mm nozzle so the model is designed to be printable at this level of detail. Obviously a smaller nozzle and lower layer height will improve quality.
My reasoning is that this makes it accessible to more people.

I wasn't able to get the nubs on the tracks to show up reliably on the print or in cura and I don't want to increase their size when they don't actually exist on the real model. I'll probably just remove them in the future.

I use siepie's profile in cura to print minis (basically print at 25mm/s with 999999 top layers).

This is currently a WIP, but previous test prints using BiancaWs model were printed successfully without supports. If you can't you probably need to loot at your part cooling setup (I use the petsfang mod with a blower fan).

Post-Printing

Shouldn't require any other than gluing parts together if printed separately. Early test prints were printed entirely assembled and without supports.
