Scale’ish model of the Launch Pad from Fortnite.
The center acts as a pressure switch that will turn on the lights when there is weight applied. Perfect for holding a cold drink while you play. There is also a normal switch so that it can be turned on w/o needing a weight. I will probably cover the bottom at some point, but kind of like that the lights hit the desk too.
Rafts:
No
Supports:
Yes
Notes:
Printed the rigid parts at 20% infill and .20 thickness resolution. Flex parts I print at 50% infill and .1 thickness resolution.
NOTE: This is not a print and go model. There is a bit of post print work to get everything put together.
You will need:
1 - CenterBase
4 - CenterBaseStopBlock
1 - CenterBlackFlex
2 - InnerRingBlueFlex
2 - InnerRingClips
4 - Leg
4 - LegBase
8 - LegBearing
4 - LegBlackFlexBoot
4 - LegBottomAxle
4 - LegTopAxle
3 - RingBody
1 - RingBodySwitch
4 - RingClearWindow
4 - RingLegWell
Other items I used
Small hex screws that hold the legs on. I used the bearing to pre-drill the holes into the LegWell.
See picture for how I wired:
12 LEDs
9 volt battery and clip
Switch
CA Glue - I used to Mount the RingClearWindow’s, the red wire, and to attach the LegBlackFlexBoot to the LegBase.
Note: I used a heat gun to warm the boots to get them to slide over the leg assembly. This took some practice to get right.
