This is a late 1800s early 1900s Great Western Railway Guard's/ passenger brake van. It is a project I have done with my Dad, who knows more about these things than I do.
If you are going to run the carriage I think it would benefit from "off the shelf" wheels. However, I am going to experiment with weighting the carriage, before I cheat and do that.
We are using screw link couplings (as they look more realistic). I have not added any holes to the buffer beam on this version, as people may use different couplings.
There is not a lot to assembling it. However, you will need to fettle edges to get it to fit nicely. The orientation of the print has been quite important on my printer. So, I have put the parts in the Stl file in the orientation I was most successful with.
They are printed using PLA. My Dad used Humbrol oil paint on them, which I think looks better than acrylic (or that is my excuse for my terrible painting skills).
I printed all the parts on the standard setting for the Creator Pro.
If you make one... let me know how you got on : )
