A friend wanted this pink power ranger helmet as a B-Day present, but I felt it needed a stand. So, in my very first modeling project, I fired up Blender and made this one. It does stand and is stable!
Printer Brand:
Creality
Printer:
CR-10S
Rafts:
No
Supports:
Yes
Resolution:
.4mm x .2
Infill:
35%
Filament: iPrint3d PLA Pink and black
Notes:
This was actually printed on a CR-10S5, and I wish that was a standard on Thingiverse.
I changed colours at the top of the stand merely by cutting the filament and letting it run out and restarting with the pink. There was a failure near the end, and by the time I saw it, the plastic had cooled and shrunk to the point that matching it was basically impossible. - I did the best I could. My friend loved it anyway.
You will /have/ to use supports, and they are a pain to get out, but it is what it is. This model could have used some more sanding, but he liked it just like it was!
Failures in print
I think the print looks like trash, and I wanted to scrap it, but because his birthday was then, and I didn't have time, and for some damn reason he loved it he kept it.
The model is good though.
Immediately after this, I started investigating extruder failures, and eventually replaced the extruder with a Titan.
