Compressed air powered water pistol. Learn about pneumatics whilst getting wet!
Made from CNC cut body, 3D printed parts, pneumatic components and a 1.25L PET bottle.
Bill of materials:
Body, 18mm Plywood (ideally use water proof ply)
Bottle bracket and Bottle lid mount, 3D printed
1.25L PET bottle with lid
Pneumatic components (all available on eBay):
6mm x 1/8" BSP quick fit connector x 4
6mm x 1/8" BSP quick fit Y connector x 1
1/8" BSP Female-Female adaptor x 2
1/8" BSP plug, with 1mm hole drilled for nozzle x 1
1/8" BSP - Schrader valve x 1
1/8" BSP mechanical push putton valve x 1
6mm pneumatic tubing approx 0.5m
Thread sealant tape or liquid

Self tapping screws
The cutouts in the body are all 12mm deep.
After printing parts, glue the bottle lid into the lid mount with epoxy. Drill a 9mm hole in the centre of the lid and screw a quick fit connector into it, using sealant as needed.
Attach the bottle bracket with self tapping screws, and the lid mount if needed.
Assemble all the pneumatic components with sealant and connect with the tubing.
Fill the bottle 2/3 with water, screw in tight, pump up through the tyre valve to about 60PSI and get squirting!
