This a planter named "Float" I designed.
The goal was to create a void where one would expect the plants roots.
So it seems a bit odd that a plant would be able to grow in the thin layer of soil on top.
But since the parts are hollow, they can be filled completely to give the roots more space to grow down.
The model is made out of two main parts (Left and Right) and two thin brims (WW1 & WW2) that fit inside and between these parts. To stop water running between the two main parts and drip down onto the model. The 'support' part fits into the holes in the bottom and will hold excess water.
This is a work in progress, if you like it, let me know :)
I made it as a prove of concept but it needs some tweeking, but feel free to print! ;)

Notes:
This is a work in progress ! Had some problems with warp. Although the model came out fine and looks great, the fit could be better...
Because the parts are hollow, a lot of support material is needed.
