Less tight bars available!
Depending what you need, default bars are tight to have a strong hold. If it's too tight for your printer, use the "less tight" versions. This is for the width of the bars (not the size of the notch)
Even more simple to print !
With square bases, the bars are impossible to miss !
Even more simple than my Simple Filament Spool Stand V2 (http://www.semaker.com/productdetail/1825).
No additional parts needed, you just print 2 sides + 1 bar, you clip them and you're done !!
No bearings, No screws, No washers !!
Just print and clip !
This version works with Standard Spools of 1Kg of 1.75mm filament and Printrbot spools.
[update:]The stand is 10 cm tall. So it's very easy to scale up (110% will give you 11cm tall, 120% > 12cm and so on).
[update 04/25/14:] Following people's requests, i added 2 new length bars : 130 mm long an 150 mm long:
spool_stand_v3_bar_130mm.stl
spool_stand_v3_bar_150mm.stl
If you have bigger spools: just scale the models !
Just print with 2 perimeters / 30% infill :
2 x spool_stand_v3_side.stl
1 x spool_stand_v3_bar.stl
Clip them and you're done !
if you want to make us famous, print one side or even both sides with our name :
spool_stand_3_side_3DMM.stl
If your 3D printer is not well calibrated you may need to sandpaper the end tips of the bar, that's all.
Tip : Place your spool with the filament coming from the bottom, not top, it will be more stable.
