R2D2 Grapping Cable for retreveing items
After painting I wrapped some old telephone wire (Abt 22 Gage, Solid) around the drum and then inserted a 5 mm blue LED in the bottom with the wire running through the center of the gripper, then mounted it in the panel and will wire it to come on when the panel door opens.

I used the images from the Star Wars movie to make this first build. It as close to full scale as I can guess at, using C3PO eye as a reference. I'd like to make it a working model but I do not have the know how to do so.
