This is a 1:76 model of the Italian Puma 6x6 personnel carrier, of which around 320 were put into service. It is based on a shell model offered in the SketchUp library by Empy, to whom my thanks. It has required a fair amount of work, as the original model was not quite complete, but it seems to have worked out.
The hull has been split into two to ease printing, and the wheels should be printed separately. It seems to work well in this arrangement. The cupola MG is made available, but you may already have a better model (please share...). I always struggle with these weapons in this scale!
Developed using Sketchup and 3D Builder as usual, with MiniMagics to check dimensions etc. Had to adjust the width of the model to match the published dimensions, but this was a minor change.
I am attempting to develop the 4x4 version, but this is actually quite different...
I hope this is of interest. Enjoy!
27/11/18 Following the helpful suggestion from Japim, I have included a version with the hull split vertically, which should result in a smoother finish for the glacis plate at the front, at the cost of a seam down the middle. I will try printing it shortly.
