This is the titular sword from the 1981 film Excalibur. It's based on film stills and some other helpful vids and still images from makers (yeah... Adam Savage again). My completed sword features a metal wire wrapped handle. I made it a broken sword simply because it was one of my early creations and...why waste so much material. Now it can stick out of a wall or desk or dare I say... a stone.

Awkward printing geometries here but perhaps future versions will be sliced down the middle. You'll need plenty of support, and you'll need to sand the blade rod to slide easily into the handle. You don't want that torquing off.
