Summary

Hi All.
I decided to make a working 3d printable Terminator 1 Arm for all.
Wires pull springs in the hand pistons causing mechanically operated fingers to close.
Releasing tension causes the fingers to straighten.
I have uploaded the un-smoothed version for easier modification, excluding the wrist.
I printed each piece at a time, but you can try print it as I have supplied it.
Items labled with an X3 should be duplicated 3 times and X15 -15 times etc.
Tubing is quicker to find than to print, so I suggest making a trip to your nearest hardware
for tubing, shafts and screws, unless, like me, you have some lying around.
I also suggest that you print in ABS so you can solvent weld some of the parts or repair it easily if parts break. If you have any requests or questions, leave a comment and I will do my best to reply. I will be posting a making-of video on youtube soon. Visit www.antsinafrica.co.za for more info.
Have fun and enjoy!

Print Settings

Printer Brand: Ultimaker

Printer: Ultimaker 2

Rafts: Yes

Supports: Yes

Resolution: .1

Infill: 25-50%

Notes:

Printed in ABS at .1mm resolution at  60mm per second. Not all parts require support. Only minor support is needed for some finger parts. I recommend printing a brim on all parts. A raft might not prove strong enough.

Post-Printing

All parts were lightly sanded and brushed with ascetone before spraying.
It's not necessary, but I'm a perfectionist.
Some parts need to be solvent welded together or glued if PLA is used.

How I Designed This
