The Honda VFR800 RC79 (gen.8 2014- ) motorcycle have very exposed fork legs. A protector can be added to each leg to avoid oncoming debris to damage them. Of course I opted to make a pair myself.
Simply print two, slide them past the upper fork leg and push them down carefully to fit as in the attached photo. Attach a zip-tie in the groove to keep in place.
Might fit other bikes as well were the outer diameter of the outer part of the fork leg is 60mm
Printer: Wanhao Duplicator i3
Rafts: No
Supports: No
Resolution: 0.2mm
Infill: 100%
Notes:
I printed these in PETG and used brim as bottom support.
I used the following settings in Cura. Bottom part came out perfect but a little stringy on the thin upper half, but still good to go imho. Could maybe be even better if slowing down even more.
Nozzle temp: 240 °C
Bottom temp: 60 °C
Speed settings (mm/s):
----------------------
Travel speed: 80
Bottom: 20
Infill: 30
Top/bottom: 15
Outer shell: 15
Inner shell: 20
Layer wait: 10s
Cooling fan: off
