I've been wanting to design my own ship for a while being a long time fan of multiple Sci-fi series so here I present to you... the Bristol Class Heavy Frigate!!!! a multi-role ship combining the power of the halo style frigate with the fighter carrying/deployment tactics of a Battlestar!
I welcome any comments on the design and possible ways to improve the look/function of such a ship, there's always room for refit variants
PLEASE NOTE: this is only a 1:5000 test version for much larger and higher detailed 1:1200 model of the same design, watch this space :)

Assembly
To assemble the model I used 3mm wooden skewers but any 3mm dowel will do, the 2 centre sections of the ship must be assembled before the flight pods being attached, these hold the main body of the ship together. Similar dowels should be used for the 2 engine sections.
Development process
bounced around my head for a month or 2
drew rough sketches
drew a 2D scaled drawing
clicked buttons on CAD for a bit.
