While this isn't a perfect replica of a Lockheed Constellation Yoke, it was my first attempt at making something on Fusion360, and I think it turned out pretty well!
The Lockheed Constellation is my brother's favorite airplane, and he had the opportunity to become a docent at a museum, giving tours of the inside of a Constellation that had recently (at the time) been bought and ferried from Camarillo to Chino, California. For his birthday this year, I modeled and printed the yoke "hub," the center cap that has the Lockheed logo. Instead of making just a stand for the center cap like I told him I would eventually, I decided to model and print out the rest of the yoke instead!
That was many months ago and I have since deleted the files for the center cap (I can't believe I did that), but I will try to redesign and upload a new center cap here.
I am an absolute noob when it comes to designing, so the model is missing some details like the brass inserts on the tops of the handles, and I was too lazy to add any writing/lettering on the back. Otherwise, once it is all printed and parts are glued together, it is awesome to hold, and the finger grips are the perfect size (first try!!!)!
I got frustrated trying to cut it up to fit on my print bed in Meshmixer, so I ended up just cutting up the model and printing the piece individually in my slicer. If this becomes a popular model (I highly doubt anyone is looking for a Constellation Yoke), then I might try again to make it easier for everyone else to print and glue together accurately. But for now, you can figure out the best way to cut up and orient using Meshmixer or your slicer like I did so it can fit on your print bed.
