I used the French Bulldog Ornamental Scan by Stylecreep as a base to sculpt a friend's French Bulldog that passed away in 2015. He was called Chulo, a true gentleman of a dog and I wanted to make something nice for my friend in his memory.
I smoothed all of the bumps in the scan, sculpted a bit of detail on the body where it was lost by the smoothing and to put some of the details of the real dog, created some paws and tried to put as much detail on the face as I could take from the pictures I had.
All the facial detail is unlikely to show in FDM printers unless it was printed quite large.
I don't own a 3d printer. A friend did print it for me at 7cm of height and it came up quite nice but of course it would need to be printed larger for full detail.
