After Fokker went under, Bombardier looked to create a larger regional jet than the CRJ to compete in the 100-seat market. Enter the CSeries. In order to compete with the Embraer series of E-Jets, Bombardier came out with a new design featuring composite materials and other technologies used by Boeing and Airbus models.
This model was fun to make, in that its the first regional jet I've designed with wing-mounted engines since my very first model, the Embraer E170. In a side-by-side comparison, it is amazing how far the detailing and accuracy has come in just six months of practice. Creating these models has become a wonderful hobby and very rewarding, as the skill of CAD is highly-marketable in the aerospace industry today. Enjoy this new regional, and as always, leave a comment!
