This offering represents the series of British anti-tank recoilless rifles that were developed after the war to replace the 17-pdr anti-tank gun, to ~1:38 scale (scale by 49.5% in Cura for good 1:76). The first was the BAT (Battalion anti-tank) gun, then the lighter MOBAT with a 7.62 Bren spotting rifle, and the lightweight WOMBAT with a 0.5" spotter. This spotting device was then mounted on the MOBAT to create the CONBAT. The guns were renowned for their tremendous back-blast, and their deafening firing noise, but they were very effective weapons. The angled shield was only used on the original BAT gun.
They are simple but interesting models; I have had to take some licence with the designs as there are no good drawings available, but I have done my best. Started from scratch, using 3D Builder as the design tool. The towing hooks are not really satisfactory at the moment; you may need to replace these. I found it most satisfactory to split the guns in two lengthwise and to print these flat on the printer bed. They can then be easily assembled using superglue, perhaps gluing one end first, then the other and intermediate areas rather than all at once.
I will probably publish a variant of a Series III Land Rover fitted to carry the WOMBAT in portee shortly.
I hope they are of some interest. Enjoy!
