A little weighted penguin. It is kind of stress relieving to watch it rock around.
Printer: Prusa i3
Rafts: Doesn't Matter
Supports: No
Resolution: .2
Infill: 20%
Notes:
Designed so that no supports are needed and you can create any color combination that suits you. Be aware that if you print one piece at a time the cooling time of the layers are critical for success. Especially if you want to print a nice nose. That being said if you print all three at once the layer time is enough for good prints. Any resolution is acceptable. Different resolution prints will have different motion.
Only very minor cleanup should be required.
One note about the weights. They need to be centered and stable. Off center or shifting weight will create a lazy bird that likes to lay on its side.
It uses 1.75 filament pieces to hold the parts together. With the possible exception of the nose, the model will hold itself together without glue. This is good for testing your weight combination.
If you decide to use glue you only need to add a small amount to the filament struts. This will keep glue from oozing outside the model.
The filament pieces don't have to extend fully into both halves. If the model has gaps at the seams, just trim the filament pieces back. Or rearrange your weight so that it fits properly.
