If you make a picture frame, or some sort of artistic greeting-card-like item, you may need one of these to nicely display your handiwork.
So I put this together, and it seems to work nicely.
The only challenge is that you need a pin for the hinge piece, but there are many options.
The most easily-found choice is probably a simple nail. A two-inch or five-or-six cm finishing tail would probably also work. (You may want to file the point to be less sharp)
So would a straight piece of 14 gauge (14 AWG) solid wire, such as used for household wiring. An M2 machine screw would probably fit too, if you have a long enough one about.
I used the shaft from an aluminum rivet, which also worked very nicely.
Attach the square piece to the back of your frame, picture or card. I used hot glue, but have also included mounting holes in case you wish to use some wood screws.
Anyway, not much else to say about this one. Pretty obvious usage.
Perhaps I'll add a few other sizes if there is some particular interest in future. Oh, and I should add a photo of the real thing when I get a moment too. :)
