I designed this stand for my art-deco plane model which is made from metal. I can place the plane into the adapter and clip the adapter on the stand. The extra adapter keeps it simple to add a different sized one.
I designed the thing in ViaCAD and add the source file. Before export to STL from ViaCAD you need to combine the pieces of each thing to one for getting a solid thing.
I print the stand with 10% infill, 0.32mm layer height, 1 extra shell, 120mm/s feed and travel rate without raft without support with my Flashforge Creator in about an hour. The adapter has integrated support for the small clips whcih can be removed easily with a screw driver.
