DeHavilland Sea Vixen was a British Navy Fleet defense fighter that entered service in 1959. Later called the Hawker Siddeley Sea Vixen after DeHavilland was absorbed into that company. It had a powerful ( for the time ) radar. It also had a horrible safety record (38% lost to accidents and one disintegrated at the 1952 Farnborough air show claimed 31 lives). It was used by the Royal Navy aerobatic display team, .
Replaced by the Phantom in 1972.
