This is a set of integrated supports to help print Zorum's fantastic Knight of Egypt model. I have included an stl with the knight and the supports, and one with the supports alone, for multi-process printing.
It provides support on the chin and all the other overhangs on the body. (If you only want the chin supported, alex_belov did a pretty neat chin rest for it, thing:2040669 ) I also added a structure in front of the head, which slows the top of the print down, to prevent the ears overheating during the last stage of the print.
Each support contacts the body with interfaces designed to be one extrusion width wide, to make them easy to remove. I have included the Fusion 360 file, so you can edit the thickness of the supports to suit your nozzle and the size you are printing at. There is a custom parameter called "thickness" which adjusts all the interface zones at once. By default, the file has 0.45mm thick supports, which is suitable for 0.4mm nozzles printed at 100%.
If you want to print it at 200%, you can go into the Fusion 360 file and change the thickness to 0.225mm. Then when you scale it up in your slicer, you'll be back at 0.45mm, and you'll get a single extrusion line.
You may need to turn on single-wall extrusions in your slicer, to ensure they print. Check the contact points carefully in the preview before printing.
The supports will just pull off after printing, but if you want the best result, separate the support sections at the base and remove them individually with flush cutters or a knife.
The print in the photos was printed at 140% with 0.12mm layer height in carbon fiber PLA.
