Star God.  C'tan.  The Deceiver.  Known by many names, and in many forms, this once powerful being was crushed and enslaved by the very people who once worshiped her blindly.  Now, bound to the will of the mighty Necrontyr Phaerons, she fights wars that are not her own hoping one day to be made whole again so that she may feast once more upon the souls of the living.

Included is the complete model together and then both the figure and base separated.  I would recommend printing both separate as the base can print flat with no supports while the figure will best be printed at an angle with supports enabled.

How I Designed This

I came across a 3D character design by Derek Miller called "The Necromancer" and the overall pose of the figure appealed to me and immediately made me feel I had found something I have been searching for for some time now:  A Deceiver proxy.  The original Games Workshop sculpt looks like hot garbage nowadays and I was never a fan.  I wanted something better - so I made it.

I converted D. Miller's artistic render into a workable file in Blender.  Her hands and feet were too small for her body, so I adjusted these.  Her face had to be resculpted slightly and I changed some of the details in the torso.  The original render had a glowing orb in her hand which I changed into a flame to better represent the original Deceiver model.  The head needed to be extended and reshaped and also needed to have details similar to the original Deceiver concept, so I gave her long "horns" and added a section of the Thrasher Mantis' head to finalize the overall aesthetic.

The base is a compilation of a Scarab Swarm Base (with additional scarabs and some rubble) and the Necron Obelisk.  I felt the overall look of the base lended itself well to the figure itself and completed the look, making it apparent that this was a Deceiver proxy.
