Hey guys! this is my first offical release of one my 3D models for printing. i spent a good 1.5 weeks slowly sculping/studying this guy within VR. cuttlefish in my opinion are one of the most intelligent beings in the animal world, and are soo facinating. they have complete instant control of their skin colour AND texture to match whatever they are near. the female during mating usually picks out the smartest males not the biggest. the female can also mate with multipul males but ultimately choose which male gets to have kids. they live for about 1.5-2 years and never get to see their children born.... they can never pass on generational information. which basically means every cuttlefish in the world is re-inventing the wheel at birth. could only imagine how smart they could be if they could teach their children things!! I usually do mechanical stuff so i thought this would be good practice for somthing more organic. plus i love cuttlefish! we should totally stop eating them!

pictured print was printed at %40 scale and took 3.5 hours, full scale would be close to a foot long and would take probably 20ish hours. but would be very close to a fullsize cuttlefish!(printing one as i type)
used tree supports for tentacles and didnt have any issues with it!
Print flat sides down(duh...lol)
you will notice small gaps on the inside of the model, didnt realize they were there ..and to lazy to fill out haha. but it dosent seem to cause any issues at all.

-also have not attempted printing the 1 piece cuttlefish myself, imagine that would take some intense supports, but its there if you wanna try lol.
Think i might make a little stand/scene for him eventually!
