I created this simple way to display my wooden sword in my office. I decided that since it was going to be near my office door, I figure it might was well warn me about what's beyond the door.

It required a little bit of sanding, but not much to get it to where I liked it. Once I got it sanded, I rubbed in a few coats of wood stain to get the desired look. I left the rope portion unfinished to make it look a little more natural. I also didn't sand the ropes to give them a more rough unfinished look to go along with the look.
The hook part of the stand was glued to the "ropes" to keep it in one piece.
