I was asked to make an active acquisition of a Skull model my friend found lying around his house. We used a Leica laser scanner back at University. The alignment, cleanup and meshing was done on Polyworks. The rendered model was intricately detailed given the resolution of the scanner. I decided to print the final .obj file to test the capabilities of my Ender3. I was genuinely surprised to see such good results. I was especially amazed at the resolution of the nose (or lack thereof) hole and the eye-sockets.
A few suggested this would be a good Halloween model to print and I must agree. And if your printer manages to print it as well as mine did, or better, consider sharing it.
I hope you like it. And PLEASE POST YOUR MAKES!!!! Would love to see them!
