I wanted to make a giant sword for my upcoming she-ra cosplay. I found Polymath's file, but it was way too small for what I needed. I remade the blade files to allow for lights to be run and a center support rod.
I also remixed their handle files, split into 4 parts per side, with a hollowed out chamber and an access panel with room for a rocker switch.
All blade pieces are printed at 150% of the size.
For the Electrics: I used two Flexible Silicone Neon-Like LED Strips in Cold White, wired to a 9v battery (with battery clip) and connected to a rocker switch. The access panel on the sword allows you to replace the battery as necessary.
To keep the battery pack in place, I lined the inside of the door with thin foam, which provided a snug fit. The door prints as two pieces that lock around the rocker switch with Weld #16.
