I needed Mad Eye Moody's staff to complete a Halloween costume, but it's nowhere on the web! The closest was this staff head by LALLAMAGIC, so I imported it into meshmixer and did a photo image search and quickly sculpted a staff that could be printed and finished in time for Halloween. The result is a staff that dosent look very screen accurate, but works and compliments the various Moody costumes out there.
Printer:
BLV MGN Cube
Rafts:
Yes
Supports:
Yes
Resolution:
.3
Infill:
25%
Filament: generic PLA Black
Notes:
You need a Z build volume of at least 311mm (or at least 311 in some dimension if you want to print a different orientation.
There are integrated pegs you might need to sand for fit, then use a good PLA glue (I recommend Gorilla Clear Grip Contact Adhesive) to bond the parts together.
Raft and supports recommended to add stability as it's a tall print. These may be absolutely required for a moving bed printer like an i3.
If you print in brown, it's good enough as is. But my recommendation is to cajole somebody else into sanding, priming and painting it.
