This is a re-design of the famous T-800 arm from the Terminator! After building the original in all shiny chrome (see the remix from user OneIdMONstr), i really like the color when it was covered in black primer before applying the chrome finish. So instead of building the same arm i made my own design of the T-800 arm in BLACK :)
I printed both arms on a Elegoo MARS MSLA printer!
"How much resin did you use?"
-About 700/800ml (I've used a 1l bottle ANYCUBIC 405nm gray from aliexpress)
How long did it took you to print all the parts?
-Long but maybe not that long maybe even faster then printing it on a FDM printer! Most parts are not that big making it really nice for a resin printer as you can sometimes print 20+ parts at once! (see pictures) Most prints took 5/6 hours (20+ parts per print) and only 1 or 2 took 16 hours to print (around 5+ parts per print)
But the best 'part' is prepping the parts, because the resolution of the printed parts are so fine you don't need to prime and sand all the parts many, many times. Only 1 layer Tamiya primer some wet sanding (600 grid) and then 1 layer of Motip spray putty and it was done really for painting!
All parts are printed on the 'Mars' except the base and 2 larger arm files the parts are named "FDM parts.stl"
All the parts that needed to be printed more then once are marked with 2x, 3x,4x etc. at the beginning of the file name.
I think all the parts are interchangeable with the remix from OneIdMONstr. Also the base is compatible between both arms.
