Lockheed U-2R (TR-1/ER-2) "Dragon Lady"
Ultra high altitude reconnaissance aircraft operated by USAF (previously by Central Intelligence Agency) , by NASA and Taiwan Air Force; world wide recognised as "The Spy plane".
With over 60 years of service, this aircraft is a real example of longevity; first variant introduced in 1957 and still in service with latest model. It has been produced from 1955 to 1989 (104 built).
The model presented is the U-2R variant introduced in '70s and is about 33% bigger than the initial U-2A. The TR-1 is the name of the 3rd batch of production of the U-2R later named back U-2R by USAF to unify name of remaining models.
Also the ER-2 flown by NASA is a modified U-2R variant.
Model 1:100 scale printed at 1:285 with 0.2mm nozzle (but still sliceable with 0.4mm nozzle and 1:300 scale) and 0.12 mm layers.
Printed with a Ender3 as shown in the image taken from PrusaSlicer 2.0.
I opted for the two-part version to keep most of the tail and nose details; use some sandpaper and in the end the glued joint is not so visible and once painted almost invisible.
