I tried both, standing and lying. Standing requires a lot more supports (and print time), but yields more detail for the weapons parts. Your choice :) My next try would be to print it upside down. This should get the most detail, and less supports.
-Unpack from game
-Import to blender
-Delete all unnecessary Weapons / Damage parts
-Used 123D Design and Meshmixer to:
--Remove antenna on head (too small)
--Add cylinder joint for both legs and lower torso
