I couldn't find any accurate Starfleet insignia pins, so I made my own! These models are based on the new iteration of Star Trek films. Choose your discipline and download a Back Plate to go with it. I bought some 0.25" diameter by 0.0625" thick neodymium magnets to glue into each piece (Magcraft NSN0657). I'm sure that the ubiquitous 6mm x 1.5mm rare earth magnets will work equally well
Please make note that the pins are NOT FLAT! They have a gentle curl to them to contour to your chest (just like the film used pieces). I'd recommend printing these at an angle, with supports. Let me know if you want me to upload a flat version also.
Instead of magnets you could also use a piece of 3M VHB tape (which is what they used in the movies, I think). Beware that VHB tape is extremely strong and I am in no way responsible for you destroying your shirt/coat if you decide to use it. Consider using a piece of double sided tape if you don't have any magnets lying around.
