We created a Blue Whale Mama & baby!
Mama's mouth opens so the baby can hide inside! A creative and interactive toy for children. We added some real-life details like the blow-hole which could lead to interesting conversations about sea mammals!
Don't hesitate play around with colours or print more than one baby whale! Also, the Blue Whale Mama could be used as a little box. Although the baby whale is big enough we recommend to print this for children over 5 years old.
We used an Ultimaker 2+ 3D printer and the models in the photos are printed with 0.6 mm nozzel (you can also use a 0.4mm).

Use a sharp knife to remove the brim and file or sand back the brim to the edge of the 'Mama Whale Body' model.
Assembling The Mouth & Body
The 'Mama Whale Body' has been designed with a click hinge that the 'Mama Whale Mouth' should snap fit into straight from the build plate, if not you can file back the hinge on the mouth a bit to create an easier fit.
