Summary

Stormtrooper V2 Assembly Notes

In several cases, parts are duplicated for various reasons, mostly related to the fact that this was a tough model to print, so it took more than a few retries.

Some parts have variants with built-in supports, some need raft enabled.

You do not need to print all of the duplicated parts.
I incremented the part name (knees-v2, knees-v3, etc.) in cases where I had difficulty.

So, I recommend starting with the highest version numbers first.
(You will notice "legs.stl" and "legs-V3.stl" but no V2 due to flaws that made me discard the V2 version.)

Generally, print with raft if the part has a small surface area touching the bed. (I was able to print most of the parts without raft.)

I recommend printing the parts that have a "+support" name. These can be printed without added support. If you choose to print the +support parts, you can ignore the variants that would otherwise require the addition of supports.

You are likely to encounter some issues, even with all the re-plating and rotating I've done.
For example, I had to use a heat gun to make the torso fit properly below the chest area, and the original neck part seemed ludicrously long -- I printed an extra copy of a shorter ball-joint part for it instead.

I recommend using black filament for the skeleton, gloves and boots and white for the suit.

IMPORTANT
The sides of the lower arm and lower leg sockets WILL require trimming
(I used a Dremel tool) in order to fit inside the wrist/ankle sleeves.

You may wish to alter the model directly to solve this problem instead of taking this 'brute force' approach.

Good luck.
