I was inspired by the great sculpt and paint job of the original design byJS-Studioto try and make a paint free version by slicing up the original into printable pieces. This is the result.

Use theJS-Studiolink if you want a full model in two easily printable pieces without supports.

When imported in mm units the entire model stands 250 tall, 200 mm wide and 92 mm deep. Everything is printed, including the pupils, which are about 2 mm diameter. I printed the model with a 0.4 mm nozzle. Smaller parts could be printed with a smaller nozzle I guess. I would not suggest printing smaller. Bigger will be easier if you've go the room to stand it.

Most medium to large pieces have about 0.4 mm tolerance so if your printer is reasonably well calibrated then they should fit together without trouble. With small complex shapes like the mouth, teeth and eyebrows you may need to sand a little to have them fit smoothly. Supports and other such devices are inevitable so you'll need to clean up after removal anyway.

Assembly is mostly easy but for the mouth, glue the tounge into the gums first. Do this before the teeth otherwise it won't fit. Then glue the lower and upper teeth. Finally insert the whole mouth assembly in through the back of the head and seal with the headplug. The headplug is short so don't push it in too far when finally glueing in place because you won't get it out easily. Need I say, be patient, and make sure all parts fit to your satisfaction before glueing together.

Colors include:
Black (beard, hair, pupils, eyebrows),
Blue (upper and lower body, hands, headplug)
White (eyes, teeth, smoke)
Skin (gums)
Red (tounge, belt)
Silk Gold (bracelets, hairband, earrings)
Flat Gold (lamp)
Yellow (base)

Ignore the default print settings below. Choose settings appropriate to the size of the parts.
For small parts like the pupils, eyebrows, tounge etc. I used layer heights from 0.05 to 0.08 mm. For the belt, bracelets and hands I used 0.1 mm. For the lower and upper body I used 0.16 mm.

Print speeds varies from nominal 10 - 80 mm/s but these are almost meaningless since speed changes for multiple reasons. For example I run outer wall at 50% of set speed for quality.

For the smallest parts it might be worth printing at a low temperature and with no wipe movement to ensure detail and shape is not lost. For example, I had to print the headband 3 times until I got it right at 190°C, no wipe, and 10 mm/s nominal speed. Larger parts I printed at my PLA default of 220°C and bed temperature of 60°C.

For the smallest parts like eyes, eyebrows, headband and so on I printed with a large brim to ensure good plastic flow before getting to the tiny part itself and to keep it on the bed. The surface area is so low it can be easily dislodged.

The tongue and earrings are not flat so I set them 1 mm above the bed and printed them on a light support structure sitting on top of a raft. You can see examples in the images.

There are photos of the parts and final assembly you can use as a guide. (Sorry, I forgot to include the hairband. You can see a crappy version of it in the picture of some of the smaller parts with brims, supports and rafts. I reprinted it at lower temperature after I took the shots).

Anyway, kudos really goes to JS-Studio, without whose generosity I wouldn't be able to do this. Have fun.
