I have not assembled this yet
Print at your own risk
I'm in the process of printing this now, but it is a large file and will take some time. I can't guarantee that it will fit together without a lot of sanding. We shall see...
OK, I've wanted a Mass Effect assault rifle for a while now, but couldn't find any decent ones on any of the STL sites, so i had to do it the hard way and make it on my own. I had ZERO experience with Blender, but I made 3d models 20 years ago with 3DS Max, so I thought, "It can't be THAT different." Well, I'm a bit rusty and Blender isn't the same as 3DS Max, but I did my best. My skills will improve with time.
I downloaded the .OBJ file straight from the game and worked that as best I could, smoothing it and adding details. Everything should fit nicely together. I split the larger sections to fit on an Ender 3 bed and added some pins so they don't shift when gluing them together. I designed it to be 34 inches long once fully assembled. That's the length of the official, very expensive, Bioware licensed version, so I went with that.
I will update this more as I continue to print and tweak the prop. If anyone has any suggestions, feel free to let me know.
