This is a split fairing designed to fit my Falcon 9 rocket model.
It has added detail throughout, and includes an improved TESS Satellite model.
You guys deserve more than this for your support, but more will come.
The more I grow, the more free stuff will flow...
The fairings attach together with small clips if displaying it together is preferred.
I also increased the detail on the Satellite adapter.
If you like the model and would like more, or simply want to support me, then please follow the link below to purchase the full activation sprung latch geared hinged version with bonus items...

These items include a detailed mini Tesla Roadster, Starlink style stack which doubles as a secret box and easy to follow build guide PDF.
The full version also has multiple options for activating the Latch internally and externally with a lever. There is also a geared arm included for a servo to be used to drive the Fairing doors.
Comments and suggestions are always welcome as usual.
Enjoy!

Notes:
I designed this to print without supports, and I tested it, so I can confirm that none will be needed. I printed with a brim, not a raft, but if you know your printer, you will know what's best for the type of part. I had a failure when not using a brim to aid bed adhesion on the Fairing doors. Print time for each Side was about 3hrs with 0.4mm shell thickness at 0.2mm layer height and running at 60mm/s.
Post-Printing
Easy snap together clips.
This model has clips, so no additional hardware is required. With a bit of post-printing cleanup and some light sanding, the clips should clip in and hold it together enough for display purposes.
How I Designed This
A short design tangent by an Ant in Africa
This more detailed fairing for the Falcon 9 exists thanks to a fellow maker and customer suggesting it. It took roughly a week after work every day and between other projects, to remodel the entire fairing to be more accurate. I then went on a wild tangent for another month. After 10 design iterations, I finally settled on a clever, simple, easy to assemble hinge mechanism and release latch with an integrated printed spring that is only under tension when the lever is activated to avoid it warping over time... I designed it to be released internally with a wire or string, or externally with a small lever. I also included a geared lever to allow a servo to open and close the fairing and upgraded the mini Tesla Roadster and modeled a Starlink stack. WILD Tangent! But such a cool model! So cool that I wish I could give it to everyone for free, just to share the joy. But alas, we live in a terribly expensive world, so this will have to suffice... For now... :o) If you read all this you rock!
